Although Daniel Cooper Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) members come from various backgrounds, we share the same values: to honor our ancestry, pride in our country, and serve our communities through meaningful projects. We are an active chapter with a current membership of 150 members and steadily growing. If you live in the surrounding area of Dayton, Ohio, and believe that one of your ancestors may have served in the American Revolutionary War, we encourage you to learn about our chapter and community service projects we are doing. Of course, we would love for you to join us.
NSDAR Service pillars are:
Education We support education by adopting classrooms, celebrating student patriotism through essay contests, supporting the DAR schools, and providing scholarships.
Historic Preservation We preserve history by celebrating commemorative events, working to preserve genealogical documents, and supporting the preservation of our local historic buildings and monuments.
Patriotism Honoring our active military, serving our veterans, and honoring them from the American Revolutionary War to the present. Acknowledge and honor patriotism through the recognition of community leaders.
